      • Supporting idea: Media platforms like television, radio, newspapers, and the internet can reach a vast audience, including remote areas that may have limited access to other forms of communication.
      • Example: In countries like Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea, where access to healthcare resources and information infrastructure was limited, radio broadcasts became a lifeline for spreading vital information about Ebola transmission, symptoms, and prevention methods. Organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO) and local health authorities utilized radio programs to reach communities that lacked access to television or the internet.
    • Main idea 2: The more negative stories appear in the media, the higher chance that people will become aware of those problems and take action towards a solution.
      • Supporting idea: 
        • Negative stories in the media often shine a light on pressing problems that may otherwise go unnoticed. 
        • By bringing these issues to the forefront, people become aware of the challenges facing their communities or society as a whole.
      • Example:  For instance, news about cancer has now become a common topic in the media, and as a result, a large number of people have switched to a healthier lifestyle.
