        • Supporting idea: Mass public disapproval may arise from a representative receiving a speeding ticket, or getting caught using illegal drugs, undervaluing the significance of the aid programme.
        • Example: 
      • Main idea 2: the public might take the presence of famous entertainers as a mere publicity stunt.
        • Supporting idea: 
          • People might perceive their contributions to international aid organisations as their business strategy to advertise themselves, and to gain more fame.

        • Example: numerous Hollywood movie stars engage themselves in voluntary work for international charities, but their endeavour is less likely to be appreciated due to misconceptions of the public.

      • Main idea 1: people who are considered role models have considerable influence on the public
        • Supporting idea:  It is evident that they can positively influence their fans who can be encouraged to participate in charitable activities held by the organisations.

          • In many parts of the world, some film stars are even more well-known to the locals than the organisation itself owing to their appearance in familiar cinematic products.
