IELTS TUTOR gợi ý bài tham khảo:
In many parts of the world, famous individuals are increasingly viewed as role models, and their influence on young people is becoming more pronounced. While this phenomenon may appear beneficial at first glance, I believe it is largely a negative development due to the harmful values it often promotes.
One major drawback is that many celebrities lead unhealthy lifestyles (unhealthy lifestyles – lối sống không lành mạnh; ways of living that damage physical or mental health), which can exert a detrimental influence (detrimental influence – ảnh hưởng tiêu cực; harmful impact) on impressionable youths. When young people constantly observe public figures engaging in morally questionable behaviour, they may begin to perceive such actions as acceptable or even admirable. Some celebrities, for instance, are involved in ethical misconduct (ethical misconduct – hành vi sai trái về đạo đức; behaviour that violates moral standards) such as infidelity or substance abuse, yet still receive admiration and financial rewards. As a result, adolescents may internalise the belief that reckless actions are socially tolerated. For example, several high-profile figures openly glamorise drug use, extreme dieting, or cosmetic surgery, thereby normalising risky behaviour (normalising risky behaviour – bình thường hoá hành vi nguy hiểm; making dangerous actions seem acceptable) among the young.>> 🔥 Form đăng kí giải đề thi thật IELTS 4 kĩ năng kèm bài giải bộ đề 100 đề PART 2 IELTS SPEAKING quý đang thi (update hàng tuần) từ IELTS TUTOR
Another significant concern is that excessive exposure to celebrity culture may distort young people’s perceptions of success. Many adolescents begin to prioritise instant gratification (instant gratification – sự thoả mãn tức thời; immediate pleasure without effort) over long-term goals such as education and perseverance. This mindset can erode ambition and discourage hard work, as fame and wealth are portrayed as attainable without sustained effort. Reality television programmes, for example, frequently depict individuals achieving overnight success without demonstrable talent, fostering the illusion of effortless success (illusion of effortless success – ảo tưởng về thành công không cần nỗ lực; false belief that success comes easily). Consequently, young people may become less motivated to pursue meaningful careers that require dedication and resilience.
In conclusion, although celebrities can inspire in certain cases, their growing influence on young people is predominantly negative, as it promotes unhealthy values and undermines the importance of hard work and moral integrity.
