The British spent the most on cars, with over £450,000, compared to around £400,000 by the French. Similarly, the UK allocated the highest amount to books (approximately £400,000), which was significantly higher than the figure for France. The most notable gap can be seen in camera spending: while the British spent nearly £350,000, France only spent half that amount.

By contrast, France’s spending on computers slightly exceeded that of the UK, at around £380,000 and £360,000 respectively. A similar pattern is seen with perfume, where the French expenditure stood at £200,000, whereas the British spent about £150,000.
