IELTS TUTOR gợi ý bài tham khảo:

It is often argued that parents should be held accountable when their children engage in unlawful behaviour. I totally agree with this notion, as parenting plays a decisive role in shaping a child’s moral compass, and punishing negligent caregivers may help curb juvenile delinquency.

To begin with, raising a child to become a responsible, law-abiding citizen is the non-negotiable obligation (non-negotiable obligation – EN: an unquestionable duty; VN: nghĩa vụ không thể chối bỏ) of every parent. After bringing a baby into this world, adults must act as behavioural role models (behavioural role models – EN: examples of how to behave properly; VN: tấm gương hành vi) and instil core values in their offspring. Children, being highly impressionable (impressionable – EN: easily influenced; VN: dễ bị ảnh hưởng), mimic their caregivers and internalise what they observe at home. Therefore, when a minor commits a crime, it is often a byproduct (byproduct – EN: unintended result; VN: hệ quả phát sinh) of poor parenting. For instance, many delinquent youths report having grown up in morally bankrupt households (morally bankrupt households – EN: families lacking ethical values; VN: gia đình suy đồi đạo đức), where violence or indifference is the norm.>> tham khảo CẦN VIẾT & THU ÂM BAO NHIÊU BÀI ĐỂ ĐẠT 8.0 SPEAKING & 7.0 WRITING?

Furthermore, penalising irresponsible parents can act as a deterrent mechanism (deterrent mechanism – EN: a method to prevent something; VN: cơ chế răn đe) to reduce repeated offending among juveniles. If adults understand that failure to fulfil their parenting duties may result in legal consequences, they are more likely to actively guide their children’s development. This approach is not only preventive (preventive – EN: designed to stop something from happening; VN: phòng ngừa) but also promotes social cohesion (social cohesion – EN: unity in society; VN: sự gắn kết xã hội). A case in point is that many serial offenders, including violent criminals, have been found to suffer from childhood abuse, trauma, or neglect, suggesting a direct correlation (direct correlation – EN: clear connection; VN: mối liên hệ trực tiếp) between failed parenting and criminal tendencies.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that punishing parents of young offenders is essential, as it reinforces their duty to raise morally conscious individuals and prevents societal harm.
