The bar chart compares (so sánh – compares) the number of incidents and injuries per 100 million passenger miles travelled (PMT) across five transport types in 2002.

Overall, demand response transport was the most accident-prone mode by a significant margin, while commuter rail proved to be the safest. Meanwhile, the remaining three categories recorded moderate figures with relatively close numbers.

Demand response was by far (vượt trội – significantly) the most hazardous (nguy hiểm – dangerous) option, with 225 incidents and 173 injuries, vastly surpassing (vượt xa – greatly exceeding) all other categories. In sharp contrast, commuter rail was the safest, with only 20 incidents and 17 injuries reported. This stark disparity (sự chênh lệch – noticeable difference) underscores the risks associated with on-demand services (dịch vụ theo yêu cầu) compared to fixed-route systems (hệ thống tuyến cố định).

In the remaining categories, light rail and bus showed identical incident figures at 76, though bus-related injuries were notably higher (66 vs. 39). Heavy rail reported 51 incidents and 35 injuries, placing it between the two. Across all transport types, incidents consistently outnumbered injuries, suggesting that not every reported case resulted in harm.
