        • Supporting idea:
          • The burning of oil and coal produces tonnes of carbon dioxide per year, and it is one of the greenhouse gases that enhance radioactive forcing and contribute to global warming.
          • The rise in temperature of the Earth has associated with numerous of adverse effects such as melting of polar ice caps, flooding of low-lying areas and rise to the sea level.
        • Example: China’s coal-powered plants, for example, depletes the ozone layer over the other nations, this, in turn, affects the whole world.

IELTS TUTOR gợi ý bài tham khảo:

The international community (cộng đồng quốc tế – global alliance of nations) must act collectively to reduce the use of fossil fuels because these energy sources pose grave repercussions (hậu quả nghiêm trọng – serious consequences) for the planet. I totally agree that immediate measures are indispensable to curb fossil fuel consumption.

First, fossil fuels are the leading cause of global warming (nóng lên toàn cầu – worldwide rise in temperature) and climate change. When oil and coal are burnt, they release tonnes of carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas (khí nhà kính – gas trapping heat in the atmosphere) that intensifies radioactive forcing (tác động bức xạ – the change in balance between incoming and outgoing energy in Earth’s atmosphere). The consequences are evident: the melting of ice caps, flooding of low-lying areas (vùng đất thấp – land near sea level), and rising sea levels. For instance, China’s reliance on coal-powered plants has depleted the ozone layer, negatively affecting even nations far beyond its borders. These examples illustrate how fossil fuel use brings far-reaching impacts (tác động sâu rộng – extensive effects across many areas).>> tham khảo CẦN VIẾT & THU ÂM BAO NHIÊU BÀI ĐỂ ĐẠT 8.0 SPEAKING & 7.0 WRITING?

Second, fossil fuels are finite resources (tài nguyên hữu hạn – resources that will eventually run out), taking millions of years to form. Without reduction and control, they could be exhausted in the foreseeable future. This would trigger severe shortages before reliable alternative energy sources (nguồn năng lượng thay thế – other forms of usable energy such as solar, wind, nuclear) are developed. Moreover, the soaring price of oil and gas could ignite fuel wars (cuộc chiến nhiên liệu – conflict over access to energy), destabilizing global peace. Thus, reducing reliance on fossil fuels is not only an environmental imperative (mệnh lệnh về môi trường – urgent necessity for the environment) but also an economic and political necessity.

In conclusion, curbing fossil fuel consumption is essential to protect both our environment and future energy security.
